Makda is a self taught sewist and knitter currently living in New York City. Her goal is to encourage others to center creativity, embrace the power of self-sufficiency, and experience the rewarding feeling of finishing a self-made functional work of art. Inspired by fashion, art, and craft, she aims to create pieces that display imperfections and hold the impressions of a day well spent. Besides her work as a maker, Makda enjoys gardening and reading.
